What You'll Find Here:

Of course there will be pictures & videos of my beautiful boys, but I am also going to post information that I find helpful to share with my fellow mommies out there, either SAHM or working! I consider running the household my job, not just raising children, so it is my responsibility to save money wherever I can! One way I do that is with couponing. On average, I spend less than $80 per week on all our household needs. No, not just food. This is toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies, diapers, & anything else you can think of! And we don't do without around here! Most all of what I buy is name brand & very little is off-brand. There is nothing wrong with off-brand, but manufacturers put out tons of coupons to get you to buy their products.

An Average Publix Shopping Trip

Here is what all I bought on my last Publix run. Sorry, no breakdown. I'm a little short on time. I got diapers for less than $15 but that made my total a little higher than I wanted it to be. After coupons, some of my better deals were: frozen veggies were $0.75, Nature Valley Bars were $0.50 each, Penny Item was peanut butter, Dove deodorant was FREE after stacking a manufacturer & store coupon. I also had a $10 off coupon from Winn Dixie plus a few more. I ended up with a grand total of $44.28 before tax, with a savings of $39.05!!!!!
(Some of you may have noticed that I don't have usually have any meat purchases, but I usually stock up when it is on sale. I have a $0.50 off coupon, which doubles to $1 off of a pound of ground beef so I buy it by the pound when it is on sale & freeze it. You can't beat ground beef for less than $0.60 per pound!! We also buy steaks from the "Meat Man" which is MUUUCH cheaper when you buy in bulk. Plus he delivers!)
